STORY BEHIND THE MONA LISA PAINTING

Mona Lisa in full, Lisa del Gioconda was a member of the Gherardini family of Florence and Tuscany and the wife of a wealthy Florentine silk merchant Francesco del Giocondo.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LEONARDO DA VINCI AND MONA LISA
Leonardo was supposedly commissioned by the family to complete the portrait of the wife of Florentine (Mona Lisa). In the painting process Leonardo fell in love with Mona Lisa. He cared for her like no other.
Mona Lisa on the other hand was sold off to a slave trader (Florentine)at just 15 years of age and that influenced the dark smile on her face.
She was famously unable to conjure up a fully joyous smile for Leonardo da Vinci.

ABOUT THE PAINTING
This painting is painted as oil wood. The original painting size is 77 by 53 cm and is owned by the government of France on the wall in the louvre in Paris France.

This figure of a woman dressed in the Florentine fashion of her day and sealed in a visionary, mountainous landscape, is a remarkable instance of Leonardo's accuracy of soft, heavily
shaded modeling.

The Mona Lisa enigmatic expression, which seems both appealing and re-served has given the portrait a universal fame. Indeed the Mona Lisa painting is a very realistic portrait.

The softly face shows Leonardo's skillful handling of accuracy and artistic technics.
The painting began in the year 1503 and it was in his studio when he died in 1519.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, Mona Lisa was one of Leonardo da Vinci amazing work. currently Mona Lisa's picture is hanged on the walls of France's museum.
I chose the Mona Lisa portrait because of the influence of Leonardo, plus after taking an art class I can see the art in a different way, such as what was the purpose behind the art and what era was it made.
